Biology 201 Study Hints

Click the chapter links below to find out what you are expected to know after reading the chapter and hearing my lectures. You should not rely on these hints alone to study for exams. You MUST first,

1. read each chapter completely (approximately 3 times),
2. take excellent notes during my lectures, and
3. study the material everyday for at least one week.

After following these steps you should be able to come up with answers to the study hints without using your textbook. DO NOT use these hints if you have not been reading the chapter and studying your notes for several days. THESE HINTS WILL NOT HELP YOU ON THE EXAM IF YOU FOCUS ON THEM AS YOUR PRIMARY STUDY SOURCE WITHOUT FIRST READING THE CHAPTER AND STUDYING YOUR NOTES.

Remember, Understanding is the key. Don’t just memorize the content. In order to do well on the exams and retain what you have learned you must understand the material.
