page 52) in Atlas A.
- Understand what anatomical position is and why
it’s necessary.
- Know the two forearm positions and which applies
one applies to anatomical position.
- Know the different planes and sections.
- Know the directional terms and be able to apply
them when given examples.
- Know the structures that belong to the appendicular and axial regions.
- Know the major body cavities and their
subdivisions. Know which major
organs are found in the cavities.
- Know the importance of the diaphragm.
- Know the names of the organ systems
- Know the names of the membranes that line
cavities and cover organs.
- Know the Abdominal Quadrants and regions.
- Know what mesentery is and what structures it
connects to each other.
- Know where the greater omentum
and lesser omentum are located.
