Joint Programs
Some schools allow you to earn
an MD degree and another degree simultaneously. Here are some examples:
Combined College/MD Programs -
These programs allow you to complete 2 to3 years at an undergraduate school
while completing your undergraduate degree as a 1st year medical
student. This is an excellent
opportunity but you must maintain a high GPA.
MD/PhD (Medical Scientist
Training Program) – These programs offer a combined MD and PhD degree. One of the advantages of this is that you
don’t have to pay tuition. It usually
takes about 7 years to complete both degrees.
